Chronicles of a country GP.(2)
Dear readers,I have started this new blogg"Chronicles of a country GP.(2)" for there is my first blogg with the same name, but that is number(1) and this is (2).In my first blogg I have talked about my experiences as a general practitioner in a small town called Normanton in West Yorkshire U.K. But in this one I am going to tell you about my life after my retirement from that job due to illness and how I become an artist after that for I have lived a double life for many years. One as a doctor and another as a painter artist. Can you believe that but there are people who knows me and they will vouch for it.
Chronicles of a country GP.(2)
Hello everyone my name is Dr Raymond Wunna.I am a retired GP.I used to work as a single handed GP in a small town called Normanton in West Yorkshire. My surgery is called "Castleford Road Surgery" because it is situated on the main road in Normanton which is Castleford road. The name really suits the place and it has a Pharmacy nextdoor to it and a betting place nearby, also a fish and chips shop across the road.So its near to everything. Now since I have retired the new owners had renamed the surgery as "Park View Surgery" which sound like a fish and chips shop because the name of the Chippy across the surgery is called "Parkside fish and chips".Well there in the same road is Park View Surgery and Parkside Fish and Chips. How convenient is that.I really admire the people who choose such a name for a surgery.May be they also have shares in the fish and chips shop across the road.It is possible.Well that is where my surgery situated.I used to run the place singlehanded but it has become a partnership of a group of doctors now.To tell you the truth I have never set foot in my surgery since I have retired so I can't tell you what is going on at the surgery.I hope the patients are well looked after.May God bless all my patients for I love them all and they are good people Yorkshire folks and very down to earth.
Dr Raymond Wunna.
